To clarify myself...of course the models are real women too, but I think if you are going to have back stories on the men, then you need to have identities for the women as well. And I agree with the over styling...I would love to see someone wearing a black sequined skirt with a jean shirt, tons of jewelry and the equivalent of keds....really!?!

J Crew is on my nerves--I miss what it used to be. That said, I do like that marabou jacket.

I have two brand new pairs of Cole Haan penny loafers (tan and black) and they're as old school as my weejuns from the 1980s and I regret that I didn't buy two pairs of each color so that I could save one pair for yrs from now!

Ah so funny. I am getting tired of JCrew's over styling, and for the crew cuts? It gives me the creeps to treat children like sexualized adults...ewwwwwww, shudder! I finally perused the fall catalog last night. I LOVE that marabou jacket! I just don't think I can wear those skinny legged pants but I love how they look. Oh, I totally agree about the Adidas Sambas - majorly reminds me of a former boyfriend. I'm also not doing the penny loafers, although I did "back in the day."

I think the guy with beard is gorgeous and like the fact that J.Crew used him. The one thing that irritates me about the catalog is that sometimes they will have random men who are CEO's or run magazines and the women just stay pretty. There was one catalog that had real women and I liked it. Wish they would do that more!!
