I recently painted my desk white. While I like the look, it's not wearing well. It's already chipped in a couple places, and I did it just a couple weeks ago. My guess is I didn't wait long enough for it to dry compleeeeeeeetely. My impatience got the best of me. I used fabric glue to attach it. I think it helps to use dark ribbon b/c with a lighter color ribbon, the glue might show through when you turn on the lamp.
