Now is that time of year when the novelty of Fall has worn off, and temperatures are dropping. I'd love a window to a tropical paradise in the form of a Christian Chaize beach photograph, but until my ship comes in, that isn't going to happen. I spotted this flamingo mirror a week or so ago and had to have it for baby (is 15 mos still a baby??) girl's room. It's vintage, whimsical and makes me think of warmer weather.

The flamingo scene is a lithograph laid underneath the mirror- it is from the 1960's, and I have never seen anything else quite like it.
It is just the right size to go above her bookshelf, and it reflects light from the window, making the room brighter.
Do you have any tropical touches in your home?

I love the vintage look of that mirror! It looks perfect in her nursery! And I still call my 2.5 year old a baby!
Love. It looks great in the room.
I love it. I have flamingos on the brain, too. I just saw a pair and thought, should I? Still not sure.
It's *perfect* above the bookshelf and works beautifully with her peachy pink walls. And I bet she loves her new mirror, too! My girls loved flamingos since they were the only zoo animal in their favorite color. :)
Love it and love the poodle as well. Very unique find. - Brandy
Fun and so cute in a girls room!

I have never seen anything like it and I LOVE it!! It looks perfect in baby girl's room and I still call my 5 year old baby (even though he asked me repeatedly to stop)
I adore that mirror! My dad and stepmom actually have that same one in their upstairs guest bathroom, and it works perfectly with the very old tile situation they have (you know, a classic green and pink situation that most people these days just rip out). Basically anytime I'm there, I have to hold myself back from stealing it, mostly because it won't fit in my carry-on luggage :)
When I read this post the other day I thought to myself, "Jeez, I never see stuff like this anywhere" and then this morning BOOM, there it was in an antique shop in Laconia, NH! I have no place whatsoever to use it here but I love it. And now I can visit it until somebody else buys it or the dealer removes it!
