Minty Green

Mint green is one of my new favorite accent colors.  It works well when mixed with elements of both warm and cool color palettes and adds vigor and freshness to a space.  It was a popular decorating color in the 1960's- if you look at vintage interior design books, mint green is a prevalent color, especially in more formal rooms.  I'm glad to see that it's back!

Mint green makes a formal room feel fresh and welcoming.

Miles Redd's front door is one of my all-time favorite images.  I love the mint green with shiny chrome hardware.

I want to be invited to this party!

I recently picked up a fabulous faux bamboo mint green console table.  It is made by Ficks Reed and is very good quality, with shiny brass hardware and felt-lined drawers.  It would be so pretty in an entryway or as a sofa table.  If you live in the Charlotte area and are interested, email me at for more pictures and info!

Are you using mint green in your home?
