The designers at Ballard must have been reading the blogs. While they may offer some acceptable basics, I've been underwhelmed by most (not all) of the offerings from large-scale interior retailers for years now. However, Ballard Designs is definitely upping the style quotient with its new spring/ summer collection.
For instance, check out this Faux Bamboo Bar Cart. Sure, a vintage one is cooler, but they are hard to find and can be pricey. So this is the next best thing.
I love the softness that an upholstered end table can add to a room, but the ones on the market have been quite expensive. Ballard has just added a very affordable version (ixnay on the green glass top) and it looks great.
This linen Simone bench has gorgeous turned legs. It would be so pretty at the foot of a bed, and you can't beat the price.
If you have a beach house, you need this rattan parsons console table. I would put the benches elsewhere, like in a bedroom, but I love all 3 pieces (just not all together). Even without a beach house, this table would be a gorgeous way to add texture and depth to a room.
A capiz shell chandelier is so glamorous in any dining room.
They are even doing a watered-down (sorry) pagoda chandelier. I prefer a vintage true pagoda piece, but because that is such a specific style, it doesn't work in every space, so this is a great option.
Are you as surprised/ impressed as I am? That console table is really calling my name!
