After Sally's baptism, we had our immediate families (which now is 13 people!) over for lunch. Instead of anything too sweet or baby-ish, I decided to set a colorful, springtime table.
Affordable, ready-made tablecloths are hard to find, so I love making my own. If you know your way around a sewing machine the least little bit, you can make a rectangular tablecloth. All it takes is about 3 yards of fabric for a standard table, and you just do a straight stitch around the edges. If you don't have a sewing machine, you could probably also use Stitch Witchery.
I am in love with the fabric I used for the tablecloth. It is a pink, green, and fuchsia ikat-y rose pattern. It feels much more modern than a traditional floral pattern, but it is still so fun for a spring or summertime table.
Placing chargers under dinner plates really makes your plates stand out. I found these ruffled fuchsia and green chargers at Party City for about $2 each. Side note: Party City is a great place for chargers. They had at least 20 different styles, from metallics to woven raffia, round to square, in every color, etc for between $2 and $4 each.
I love arranging flowers from my yard, and since this is the peak of azalea season here, I decided to clip some blooms from my favorite hot pink azalea beside the driveway. They are the exact same color as the fuchsia in the tablecloth. I placed them in little glass votives surrounding a bunch of pink tulips. Cake stands are a great way to add height to a centerpiece, especially for a large table.
I added my china, crystal, and silver, and, of course, some Easter candy!
Do you have a special table to set this spring?

Gorgeous, who knew party city had such great chargers? Thanks for the tip!
Beautiful table setting and great use of the azaleas! I love the fabric too! It is good to know Party City has a great assortment of colored chargers!
Beautiful! I'm going on a hunt for chargers now... these are great!
Your table setting looks beautiful, not to mention festive!!! I recently started brainstorming about my Easter table. Tory Burch Instagrammed a photo of pink peonies in blue and white Chinoiserie vases so I'm thinking of playing off of that idea. Thanks for the tip on Party City's chargers!
Looks beautiful- LOVE the colors! I don't know how you do it all!
Absolutely beautiful!!! It was a wonderful day :)
Please share where the fabric is from & the name. I love it.
I love the inventive use of cake stands et al - the result is beautiful! Congrats again.
