Goodwill's Latest Hits

The other night when I scored my burl console table at Goodwill, I was amazed at the other pieces of furniture in the store.  Although I don't go thrifting very often, it is rare to find one piece you want to buy, and it is extremely rare to find more than one piece you are tempted to buy.  I didn't have a place for any of these, but I snapped a few iPhone pics to share with you!

This faux bamboo end table was really heavy and fantastic quality.  Sometimes faux bamboo pieces can be flimsy, but this was a good one.  It just needs some paint!

I love the palm trees and cheetahs in this painting.  It was quite large, about 34-inches wide.

This faux bamboo chair is the perfect occasional chair.  But the caning needed a little work.
This vintage mirror has great lines!  It is from the 1960's.

My dark picture does not do justice to this dining set.  The table base and chair bases are gorgeous brass.  It needs a little polish, but that is such an easy fix.  The chairs needs to be recovered, but at $49 for the table and 4 chairs, you can definitely afford some new fabric!  And the chairs are nice and bendy, so they are super comfortable!

Have you found anything good at Goodwill lately?

You. Are. Torturing. Me. Those chairs alone are worth a bundle, as is. Argh.

Love that first faux bamboo table! I would take it in a heartbeat. I recently found an authentic Chinese trunk, it needs work; am thinking of painting it a Chinese red.
