In perusing the Kate Spade website the other day, I couldn't help but feel like some of their "new" spring designs were a little familiar. Cases in point...
Have you seen the Original Flea Bag, a boutique brand out of Brooklyn? It's been around a few years, but I only discovered it last week.
Canvas body with a leather bottom, natural leather medium-drop straps, writing on the side...hmmm, also features of Kate Spade's new Terry Tote.
The classic British brand Cambridge Satchel recently introduced a line of metallic satchels. Like this gold one.
And now Kate Spade has the metallic gold Flicker Scout satchel
This Kara Ross Confetti Clutch is the ultimate sparkle with its square shape and multicolored glitter.
And so is Kate Spade's I Kissed a Frog Clutch
Are these odd coincidences- brands going for the same general trend- or is Kate being heavily influenced by other brands? What say you?
Speaking of twins- I am so glad that cork is having a moment this spring. I love love love these Rosella Bow Skimmers
But this time I think I'm actually preferring Kate's adapted style - a pointier toe, a leather accents. I think these Kate Spade Elina Cork Flats are a little dressier, more office-appropriate.
I think these are going in the spring queue!
