So just a couple weeks after I blogged about how I use my silver every day, and how it's no big deal to lose a piece here or there...
Somehow baby boy's little fork ended up in the kitchen sink disposal. Twisted beyond recognition. A sad day indeed!

Awwww! Can you get a replacement piece? Poor fork :(
This happens, and it is so sad.

Oh that is awful!
Someone once told my mother "If you don't use your silver, some other woman will. . . ." Needless to say, she doesn't use the stainless anymore!
So sad. You should try calling or visiting Jeans at 16 W. 45th Street, NYC. They have almost every silver piece ever made. Fabulous store. Family owned business and pretty much a treasured institution to New Yorkers!

You can probably get this straightened out. Don't throw it away. I had a similar experience. I had the Tiffany sterling baby fork and spoon with the curved handles. One day one was missing. I'm sure it was thrown out by mistake. With the price of silver these days you might want to reconsider your daily use. I got a huge set of hotel quality silverplate over twenty
years ago. It has held up really well for daily use and goes in the dishwasher. eBay has some great deals on vintage silverplate. they are practically giving it away. ann
I know silversmith in Raleigh that could repair this fork. Her name is Emily Alexander. Happy to get you her info if you would like. Good luck!
It can be fixed! Beverly Bremer silver shop in Atlanta works wonders...if you could find a similar place (or maybe even send it to them) I bet they could fix it!
