Fab Estate Sale Friday and Saturday in Gastonia

If you are in the Charlotte area, you should definitely check out a fantastic estate sale in Gastonia on Friday and Saturday (Sept 9 and 10).  The sale is located at 222 W. Eleventh Avenue, from 8am to 4pm both days.  The house is a beautiful old house in an older, established neighborhood (which you know makes for a good estate sale), and nearly everything is vintage or antique.  Prices are good.  Here are a few highlights of what you will find there:

Some fantastic pieces of original art:

This pair of mirrors:

You could easily modernize them with paint or wallpaper just like Eddie Ross did here!
And then use them over a double vanity, as seen here in Coastal Living:

These bowfront pieces are absolutely stunning.

We'd resist the urge to repaint the chest and leave it in its original finish, like Miles Redd did here:

The sale will have beaucoups of vintage china and crystal, including these beautiful soup tureens:

Perfect for displaying in a butler's pantry like Eddie did here:

There are boxes and boxes of fab vintage jewelry with colorful beads and bangles.

This chinoiserie coffee table has a faux bamboo base and is topped with a painted Chinese red tray.

We'd recover this pair of Hollywood Regency vanity stools with some modern fabric!

Wouldn't any of these planters be perfect filled with mums, flanking your front door?

You can see more items and find out more details here.  I've gone to a lot of estate sales over the past few years, and this looks like a great one with lots of high-end furniture and accessories.
