A few days ago, I spotted this Southern Living breakfast room, and it was love at first sight! Everything about the room is just perfect- from the curtains to the coral settee to the brown zig zag chairs. We always love the Saarinen pedestal table too, and if we had a cool $4,000 to spare, we'd pick one up in a skinny minute!
As I was analyzing this photo, the coral settee really stuck out in my mind. It's cozy and comfortable yet adds a level of style and sophistication that you just don't get from breakfast room chairs. It has inspired me to work on a settee project for my own breakfast room... more on that to come!

I love the idea of a settee in a breakfast room! It is so inviting, stylish, and comfortable all at the same time...I wish I had room for one in my apartment!
My plan is to have a carpenter surround our dining room windows with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves, and then when I have that done I'm looking for the perfect settee to place in the alcove-- perfect spot to curl up with a book (and stare with happiness at my new lucite chandy:-)
