Toms recently introduced its newest "one for one" program with a new line of eyewear, and so far I'm liking what I'm seeing (no pun intended, I swear).
They're not reinvening the wheel, here- all of the styles are pretty firmly rooted in classic shapes- but still, it's a nice change from the ubiquitous Ray Bans I see on everyone and their brother (spoken by someone who wears Ray Bans every day...I can't seem to quit them either!).
I am really digging the "Classic 201", which comes in a bunch of colors.
There's also the Wayfarer-esque "Classic 101" (in the very first pic above) and the aviator staple "Classic 301" (below)
Of course, Toms got where it is today with its "one for one" promise, and its new sunglass line is no exception. When you buy a pair of shoes, they give a pair to a child in need, and naturally, when you buy a pair of glasses, they give one person "sight." For each pair of glasses it sells, Toms will give one needy person "sight" through medical treatment, prescriptions, or or glasses.
I can't wait to check these out in stores - hooray for Toms for introducing a new summer product to get excited about!
