Blog from the Beach: Shell Rings

Currently on Day 4 of the family beach trip, I am feeling so inspired by the piles of shells on the beach here in NC.  There are so many creative ways to use shells, from furniture to home decor accessories to jewelry.  I have always loved Mesi Jilly's stunning shell rings.  Mesi uses gold, silver, and semi-precious stones like turquoise and coral in her designs.   They are truly a work of art, hand-made in Italy.  Mesi Jilly is the gold standard of shell jewelry, but their price point can make them a little cost-prohibitive.

Jennifer Lopez sports an eyecatching Mesi Jilly cowrie ring.

Vivre carries a great selection of Mesi Jilly designs.

The classic Cowrie is her simplest design.

I looked around online for a few more affordable alternatives to Mesi Jilly.  I don't know anything about Kristi Jones Designs, but the rings look great for the price!

Another design from Kristi Jones (don't let the nails detract from the ring design).

And of course, eBay never fails to disappoint!  This conch shell ring is so chic yet so inexpensive!

I'm thinking a shell ring is on my must-have list for summer!
