CB2 Opens in Georgetown!

Exciting news for DC-dwellers- CB2 has opened in Georgetown! I'm so thrilled that Crate and Barrell's hipper little sibling has come to M Street. While Georgetown may have some great go-to stores for clothing and accessories, in furniture and household items, everything skews super high end. As much as I'd love to go into Waterworks and Janus et Cie, they're not where you go when you need to buy a bathmat or a coffee table!

I was so excited to get an invitation to the opening festivities- only to be stuck at work till 10pm that night. Of course. But the folks at CB2 sent me some pictures and I can't wait to check out the store in person. I always pop in when I'm in New York, but now I won't have to travel quite so far.

One thing I've always loved about CB2 is its affordable line of lucite furniture, like the Vapor Barstool.

The peekabo console table, coffee table, and side table have that classic retro waterfall design...without being too spendy.

I was also drawn to this Ikat pillow, which is currently on sale- I love the pink piping!
I'm super digging this acrylic tripod easel. Obviously you don't actually have to use it to paint- I'd love to display artwork on it.

And finally, I get a huge kick out of this splatter placemat

Oh CB2...I think you and I will be getting to know each other quite well in the coming months! What's your fave item from CB2?

Had no idea! Fantastic news as I am a fellow local gal, myself.

So heading down.

Thanks for the tip, friend.

I popped in today on my way to lunch and it's so very pretty in there! I came pretty close to buying a few turquoise & lime pillows, but they just missed for me.

I'm also always disappointed at how very low their furniture is - couches, coffee tables, dining tables. I always feel like a giant and I'm only 5'5"!
