What's your favorite wallpaper?

I was chatting with a friend about wallpaper recently, which got me to thinking...if I could use any wallpaper, what would it be? I've certainly got it narrowed down to a few favorite brands- Scalamandre, Cowan & Tout, Bob Collins, Thibaut, Meg Braff...there are so many fabulous wallpapers on the market today, it's would be painfully hard to choose just one! A few of my favorites....

Though this Scalamandre zebra paper is getting quite a bit of airtime lately, I just can't stop loving it. Especially here in the green colorway, which you don't see often. Leave it to Kate Spade. I have these very same shower curtains, so at least I feel somewhat on par with Kate's aesthetic!

I might not pick this zebra print out of a wallpaper book, but seeing it on the wall, I just love it! It goes so well with the brass lamp, reddish table, yellow vase...maybe we all need to re-think zebra wallpaper.

Of course we can't talk wallpaper without talking chinoiserie. So timeless. So elegant. Yet still so much fun.

It might not pack a huge graphic punch, but I am so glad that grasscloth is back. It just adds that special bit of texture and interest to a room without overpowering it.

A classic lattice print will always be near and dear to my heart.

More grasscloth- love how the colorful accessories play off the muted wall.

Clarence House "The Vase" has been getting a lot of play lately. Here it's used by the queen of wallpaper, Meg Braff (whose own wallpaper line looks perfectly spectacular!).

Bob Collins Chinese Lattice. I will never grow tired of this. Again, used by Meg Braff.

So what are your favorite wallpaper patterns? We could of course start an entire blog devoted to wallpaper...but these were just a few favorites to start with!

I am partial to grasscloth - I love the texture and you can change out the rest of the room without changing the wallpaper - I love that versatility! However, in a small space like a powder room or entry I like to go very bold like the zebra or something else very geometric. So fun to think about all of the possibilities!

In our new home I am definitely using grasscloth in our larger rooms-- and am looking into some fun zebra/lattice patterns for the powder rooms! Love this post! Take care, Caroline

Check out this large scale geometric from the book called "Tuxedo" It looks expensive, but it is solid vinyl and very versatile. I used it to line and protect by kitchen cabinet shelves and drawers. Now they pop eveytime I open them. Love the price. I think i will put another colorway on my bathroom wall to go with my O&L Wilde Chrysanthemum thats in my bedroom. Love the price!!

I love the zebra print wallpaper! I know it is everywhere but I still would love to have it in my home one day. I love the idea of it in a bathroom.

I also am loving the chinoiserie ginger jar wallpaper that is so popular recently. Yesterday we were at a luncheon at a greek restaurant and they had a beautiful blue and ivory wall paper with greek vases. Loved it!

Oh goodness, where do I start? I'm kind of obsessed with wallpaper. If I had to choose, my favourites at the moment are:
Nina Campbell Perroquet, Katie Ridder Oiseau, anything Chinoiserie, O&L Davidia, Timorous Beasties McGegan Rose and Designer's Guild Orangie...but my list changes daily so..loooove wallpaper. Your pics are gorgeous.

I love grasscloth by Hinson and Phillip Jeffries. I love Kelly Wearstler Imperial Trellis, pretty much any wallpaper from China Seas/Quadrille, and Meg Braff's new line is fantastic!

My favourite is the David Hicks Hexagon. I recently used it in the pink colourway in my daughter's bedroom.
