The Best Non-Iron Shirts?

Today's post isn't exactly glamorous, but reader advice has never failed us yet! I'm updating my work wardrobe and in the market for some non-iron shirts. Nothing like pulling them out of the dryer, giving them a nice shake, and being ready to roll in a crisp button down shirt! However, I've yet to find the perfect one and am looking for some tips!

I've had quite a few Brooks Brothers non-iron shirts. They really work well in terms of being wrinkle free.  However, I don't just love the fit of these shirts. Even the slim cut ones are a bit short, a bit boxy. Although, maybe this is a new looks promising.

I was surprised to see that Banana Republic has gotten in on the non-iron game with these. They come in great colors, and I always tend to like Banana's regular button down shirts.  And at $59, they're a bargain. So I tried some on in a BR store...unfortunately they were a HUGE fail. For one thing, they looked pretty wrinkled, even on the hanger. And like the online reviews say, they run ridiculously small in the chest. Even a size bigger than I normally wear was too tight! And two sizes bigger finally fit in the chest, but was too big everywhere else. I hope they adjust the fit in future seasons.

And the biggest bargain in non-iron shirts? Land's End. Never tried them...I haven't ordered in Land's End forever. I'm wondering what the quality is like...does anyone know?

Anyone have any feedback on non-iron options? Any I didn't list here? I'll try anything! Non-iron's aren't for going out on the town, obviously, but the convenience can't be beat for during the work week!

I like the Foxcroft ones from Nordstrom. They are great quality and come in really fun colors.

I have had both Brooks Brothers and Land's End shirts and I absolutely love the Land's End ones. I agree that the BB shirts are too short. I have had my Land's End shirts for about a year now and they still look like new. Plus, they have lovely monogramming options and the shirts always seem to be on sale!

I love you guys, but not exactly the fun Friday post I was hoping for this morning.

Looking forward to hearing what others say--I have had the exact same experience with Banana Repbulic, unfortunately.

This is a great post - I've been on a search for the perfect non-iron shirt for years! I've tried both the Brooks Brothers and the Lands End shirts. The Brooks Brothers was too boxy, and I did love the quality of the Lands End shirts, but I ordered them in Petite, and found them similarly proportioned to the Brooks Brothers.

I've been wanting to try the new Jones New York wrinkle-free shirts, but they were on back-order forever, and now they are out of small -,default,pd.html?cgid=25103650&itemNum=4&variantSizeClass=&variantColor=JJ800C6

Anyone try these?

I haven't tried the others, but I do love Land's End. Best of all, you can go to your local Sears store and try them on. If they don't have exactly what you want, they'll order them right there in the store and you get free shipping. :)

I was just going to give you the same tip, go to Sears and try on the Land's End shirt. My mom made a comment last time we were there that their no iron shirts are great but a bit too much polyester, causing it to feel like she is wearing a plastic bag.

I have heard that the Lands End Shirts are great! I think LL Bean has one too!

Lands End no iron shirts are THE BEST. Also, Lands End actually stands behind the quality of their product. I have returned several white shirts because for some reason the collar "curls" after about 20 washes (this does not happen on the shirts with color). I have received a replacement shirt, no questions asked, each time! Brooks Brothers is much more difficult with regard to returns. Thanks so much for this post-- I was wondering if Lands End was the best, and it appears they are!
