Until a week or two ago I'd never heard of DC-based designer Lori Graham, but now that she's been brought to my attention I can't stop perusing her fantastic portfolio. Her designs are livable yet modern and sophisticated. Definitely upscale urban, but without having too severe of an edge. There always one slightly whimsical piece in a room, but it's brought back down to earth with sleek, neutral pieces. And of course, anyone who's a lawyer-turned designer always piques our interest here at MoS!
This entryway is one of our favorite photos in her portfolio. Yes there's a lucite console and an owl umbrella stand, but thanks to the monochromatic palate, the modern art, and the sophisticated chandelier, the whole thing comes off as incredibly polished rather than overly whimsical.
Wonderful greek key lamp- and fantastic curvy headboard.
The coral faux bamboo chandelier really pops in this room, but the large Asian etagere and sleek modern countertops balance the look.
I love love love this gray and coral color palate. With those chrome chairs- divine.
Here in this Watergate living room, I spy an italian wheat coffee table- but I've never seen one painted white before. It adds an earthy element to the glamorous room.
Here's Lori at home in her own kitchen in Dupont Circle. Three inch thick marble countertops...swoon.
