The first time I went to Madewell- one opened at Tyson's Corner a few years ago- I was less than impressed. It seemed to be selling jeans, t-shirts, and little else. But today, I think Madewell has finally hit its stride. There were a million things in the Georgetown store that I wanted to buy last night. Also, some of the prices at J Crew are getting a wee bit high for my liking, and in contrast, I was rather impressed by the reasonable prices at Madewell.
I found this pintucked panel dress to be totally adorable, and a steal at $128.
And the boheme dress would be great for your holiday parties! Festive without being over the top. Ignore how heinously they have it styled in the other pix on the website!
quilted biker jacket- totally, totally cool. Ok, $495 is not exactly impulse purchase territory, but for a leather jacket these days, that's not a bad price. Any leather jacket at Saks or Neimans will be at least $750!
And honestly, I think their clothes look better in person than they do online. They're a bit overstyled online, IMHO.
