Wednesday's Cheap and Chic: Urban Outfitters Home

Urban Outfitters is a store that never fails to make me feel really old.  However, they sometimes have some fun home accessories for very inexpensive prices, so every so often, I brave the loud music and irreverent gift section of our store here in Charlotte to check out their home section.

I went last week and brought home this zebra door hook.  It's made of a single piece of sturdy solid metal, painted like a zebra on a coral background.  I think this is the chicest coat hook I have ever seen!  And it was only $12!

Always on the hunt for unique jewelry displays, isn't this reproduction of an antique glove stand such a fun addition for your vanity or bedroom?
Glass Hand Jewelry Display, $14 (and only $5 for the turquoise version!)

Not quite as cute as my zebra, but probably more versatile are these shiny white branch coat hooks.  You could definitely style them to look like coral for a beachy touch or like lacquered branches if coral isn't your thing.
Branch Hooks, $20 for set of 2

Dying for a Jeff Koons balloon dog for your Christmas tree?  I am in LOVE with this ornament.  It's sold out online, but I would definitely search in store for it.  This is my favorite of the bunch!

Pendleton makes towels that look just like their classic blankets.  I'm in love with these too.

Or how about their plaid wool blanket with a leather carrying strap?  This would be so cute for those cold-weather football games that are coming up.  No comment on the Carolina Panthers...

Agate coasters are a great way to add a colorful organic element to your room.
Agate Coasters, $6 each

This metal horse coat hook would fit right in to Mark Badgley and James Mischka's Kentucky home featured in Elle Decor last year.

Stylish off-the-rack shower curtains are hard to come by, but this red and yellow medallion pattern is beautiful.  For this price, I'd buy two of them and use the second to make a roman shade for a bathroom window.

Check out the home section of your UO store.  And if someone can find me the balloon dog ornament, I will be the happiest girl ever!

I haven't been into UO in so long for the same reason - it makes me feel ancient to step foot inside. I might have to check it out, though. I love that zebra coat hook and the balloon dog ornament.

Oh, I love to browse the home section at Urban Outfitters ... but I figure the sales associates think I'm someone's mom! I have a 19 year old sister, and whenever I shop with her, we go there (and American Eagle and Hollister and ...) and I am reminded that I really am old! ;-)

The horse hooks are gone!

Wish I could justify a $50 towel; those are great!
