Decorating for Fall: Animal Horns

Fall is one of our favorite times of the year, as the days get a little shorter, the air a little crisper, and we start to see the first glimpses of leaves starting to change colors.  We aren't big seasonal decorators, but there is something cozy about using animal horns in a room.  They are sculpturally beautiful and add an organic element to a room.

They certainly make this ikea bookshelf seem less ikea-like.

I fell in love with Airedelsur horn accessories when I visited Buenos Aires 3 years ago.

A little more budget friendly is this carved horn bowl from Ballard:

Wouldn't this Horn Magnifier be cute atop a stack of books?

If you want the perfect pair to go over your mantle in true Miles Redd fashion, check out these just listed on MoS Marketplace:

I never thought I was a horns person, but I'm kind of holding myself back from screaming SOLD! Oh, and I recently got a great horn bowl at BD Jeffries for an equally great price.
