New Favorite- Sara Campbell

I mentioned in my striped dress post the other day how much I love this chic little striped dress by Boston-based designer Sara Campbell.

A-line Dress with Cowl Neckline

I first learned about Sara Campell through the Everards Clothing website (an upper Georgetown clothing store I drive by and admire quite frequently, but am ashamed to admit I've never gone into). They always have the most fantastic assortment of clothing on the mannequins outside that really catches your eye, and this red striped dress was one of them.

I especially love Sara Cambell's dress collection. For one thing, I appreciate that you're not going to see every other girl wearing these at whatever event you're attending. As much as I love a good J Crew or Milly dress, with them comes the fact that you run a good chance of running into some doppelgangers. These are still statement dresses, but they fly a bit more under the radar in terms of their origin.

This Silk Dupioni Plaid Dress looks like that elusive one of a kind vintage dress you'd only dream about finding, doesn't it? Reminds me of a slightly modernized Betty Draper dress.

I'm an absolute sucker for anything with ruffles, especially this Seersucker Wrap Dress.

How about it in Orange Plaid Silk or Printed Sateen?? What a perfect summer statement dress!

Or I'd certainly settle for the Ruffle Wrap Top (which also comes in other fabrics/prints)! I can see this with white jeans for a casual poolside cocktail party, or black pants for a more urban setting.

The cotton bubble dress looks crisp and cool.

One shoulder dresses are very "in" right now and are a lot easier to wear than strapless dresses. Love this blue and brown print.

On to separates, which Sara Campell also does beautifully.

Sold Ruffle Neck Blouse and Spring Windowpane Plaid Skirt (the latter of which is on sale!).

Silk Floral Halter- also on sale!

Do you own any Sara Campbell pieces? Looks like her boutiques are in Boston/Wellesley but that perhaps the brand is carried within boutiques in other cities? I love how timeless these designs are- they are not one-season looks. Hopefully I'll be adding some Sara Campbell to my wardrobe very soon!

Don't have anything from Sara, I'm going to have to take a trip to the gym first to get my arms in shape :-)

I have been buying Sara's clothing for the last 15 years. As you said it is nice to have some fun pieces in your wardrobe that you aren't going to see on anyone else.

OMG - I love these looks; fresh, modern and as you said, a slight departure from the Lilly's, Milly's etc. Thanks for introducing her to us~

I just purchased one of her QVC dresses at this jobber in San Diego. I'm full-figured, so I can only fit in her QVC things, as was the case of Steven Stolman when he had a line.
