It was a glorious weekend along the East Cost - hard to imagine that last weekend I was bundled up in a Barbour and this weekend I was in shorts and a polo (on the golf course, natch)! Let's hope Spring is here to stay. It took all my willpower this weekend to resist breaking out my white jeans- I felt like it was a bit premature despite the 70 degree temperature. But next weekend? I can see myself caving.
I never, ever tire of white jeans. They can be styled casually or dressed up, but regardless, they come across as crisp, chic, and timeless. You can throw them in the washer when they get dirty and you don't have to iron them- pretty much the perfect garment in my book! Here's a few favorites
The great Kate shows us white jeans don't have to be "preppy."
Michelle Williams sports the cropped version, and I love how the cut is not super-low. [By the way, where has MW been lately? I haven't seen a picture of her in ages!]
Kate Bosworth ads a chic, modern touch with heels and a structured purse.
Audrey Hepburn wore hers while working for UNICEF.
The lovely Giselle shows us how it's done.
A relaxed fit on Bridget Moynihan (Tom must like ladies in white jeans!).
Reese layers it up.
Zoe Saldana shows us the skinny.
My stylish mother turned me on to J Crew matchstick jeans last fall, and recently sent me a pair of white ones since she loves hers so much. I never thought I'd wear the same jeans as my mom...leave it to J Crew to get us on the same page!
J Crew Matchstick, $98
I also have a pair of J Brand white jeans I scored on major sale over Christmas and haven't gotten to wear yet. I'm not sure what style they are, but I'm intrigued by these midrise ones below.
J Brand 805 Midrise, $158
We can do without the cropped sweatshirt, but love these all purpose Citizens jeans.
Citizens of Humanity Phantom Skinny, $150
Distressed jeans are everywhere right now, even for white jeans.
Vince Distressed Cropped Skinny, $235
And of course, these days rolled jeans are not just for walks on the beach!
Old Navy The Weekend Jean, $25
Are you a fan of white jeans? What do you like to pair them with? And more importantly, have you started wearing them yet?
