The Colors of Mardi Gras!

As a protestant gal who has never spent much time in the Big Easy, I won't pretend to be an expert on Mardi Gras.  But between Sunday's big game and Fat Tuesday coming up, we'll likely be hearing alot about New Orleans over the next couple of weeks.

The Mardi Gras colors are purple, green, and gold.  Purple represents justice; green represents faith; and gold represents power.

Do you celebrate Mardi Gras?  Do you want the green drop earrings as much as we do?!

Happy Carnival Y'all!

Fun post on Carnival and it's interpretation of the colors.

Yay, yay, yay! Marti Gras is crazy down here and people have already started celebrating! Love the rooms and accessories you picked!

The beads just look like too much together, but the images you picked are gorgeous. I love those colors, especially purple. Purple is supposed to be a color of immaturity, but I don't care, I think it's so romantic and fresh and exciting.

I love this post! I especially love the gold Leger dress, though it's a bit out of my price range. I can only dream...
