It's Wedding Season!!

One MoS girl is heading to Charleston this weekend for a wedding aboard the above-pictured yacht! I've never been to a wedding on a boat before, but you really can't beat the scenery of the Charleston Harbor! Does a boat wedding require sensible shoes for the wood decks and dresses that won't fly away in the breeze? Maybe so, but here are some of our favorite party dresses for spring (and some are more appropriate for the ocean breezes than others!)
This turquoise trapeze dress from Thurley is just gorgeous. The color looks great on everyone, and how fab is the jeweled neckline? Show off some sun on your shoulders (real or fake) and add very simple stud earrings, strappy metallic sandals, and a fun clutch. $720
This silk ruffle dress by Notte by Marchesa just screams "FUN PARTY DRESS." It is so memorable and girlie, and you will definitely be the start of the show in it (so maybe it's not the best thing for a wedding). This dress is such a showstopper that we think jewelry and accessories should be kept at a bare minimum. Hair too- sleek and simple. $750
The color of this Rebecca Taylor dress is so fun and fresh for spring!! It is green enough that almost anyone can wear it, and the style is fun and flirty! The tiered skirt might not be best for a boat wedding, but if your event is on dry land, this does the trick! $320
This red georgette mini dress from Camilla and Marc is so fabulous! It would look great on any of you skinny minnies, and we just love love love ruffles. We like how Net-a-Porter styled it with a chunky cuff bracelet. We'd add chandeliers but no necklace. $495
This black silk dress from DVF just seems perfect for a wedding guest on board a fancy yacht. Pair it with a handsome boy in a white dinner jacket, yes please. $475
I have been in love with this green lace Tracy Reese dress for several months now and keep waiting for it to go on sale! We love the feminine lines, layers, and lace. Anyone would look SMART in this dress. $398
Since navy is one of our very favorite colors, this simple shift with a ruffled neckline is just precious! You could definitely dress it up with the right accessories and make it work for an evening party or wedding! $188

This red silk halter dress from Tahari is perfect for a beachy event or destination wedding! The blah background of that picture doesn't do that model any favors, but with a healthy blast of spray tan, we think it would look great! $238
While we haven't been in love with Trina Turk as much as usual for the past few seasons, this brown and yellow zebra print cowlneck dress is so cute! $328

Purple is such a fun color, and this strapless satin party dress from Phoebe Couture is no exception! Perfect for weddings, and once again, we love the ruffle detailing on the front! $270
Sometimes you can't beat the classic little black dress. This beautiful black silk sheath from Carolina Hererra with organza detailing will be a wardrobe classic (and it better be, for the price!). $2,500

This fun red ruffled dress from Jay Godfrey is so unique and pretty! It's a great color, and the style looks super flattering!! $440

Love the dresses--I've been on the hunt for a cute, colorful party dress for a great friend's June wedding. These gave me fabulous ideas! Thanks!
