Tray Chic

We are obsessed with trays!!! They look tres chic on nearly any surface- whether it's a table by the door for your keys and change, your coffee table to keep your magazines and remotes organized, or your bar to hold all the matchbooks you have collected from your travels and special dinners. They just keep your room looking organized, turn items that might otherwise look cluttered into decor, and are pretty to boot!

Take a look at some of our favorites!

From Iomoi:

We can't resist anything personalized, and with all of the amazing graphic patterns, monogram fonts, and colors, that Iomoi offers, we could spend hours customizing our own. We love the orange and black combination above, in addition to the fabulous styling of the objects on the tray. It doesn't hurt that Paris, shells, and the Vogue Living books are also some of our favorite things!

And how about the "Lucky Fish" pattern above? To die for.

Iomoi really does have a pattern for every personality. And of course, lucite never goes out of style. These come in three sizes- small ($100), medium ($200) and ottoman ($650). Wouldn't this make an amazing wedding gift?

From Dabney Lee at Home:

Dabney Lee's 12"x12" lucite trays run a close second to Iomoi! Her patterns and monograms are a little more traditional than Iomoi's. We'll take either one!

From Jayson Home & Garden:

This faux snakeskin tray has been all over so many home decor magazines. So cute, and for $48, the price is right!

This ceramic French postcard tray is j'dorable for your keys and change. And just $16! Reminds us of something you'd find at Anthropologie.

From the Macbeth Collection:

Macbeth's Trinket Tray is just perfect to hold your valuables! We'd place it on a vanity to hold our everyday jewelry. $30

This green rattan Treasure Tray is perfect for holding your mail. Maybe bills wouldn't look quite so bad if you had this tray to put them in!

From CB2:

This lucite tray from CB2 ($35) is a lovely touch for your fab office. Perfect size for holding those papers and letters that you keep meaning to file! And if you're really creative, we bet you could figure out how to add a personalized sheet to the bottom, a la Iomoi, for a fraction of the price!

From Marimekko:

The birds and colors of this signature Marimekko print just make us happy! Marimekko Pakkanen Tray, $25

We love the graphic black and white sketch on this mod serving tray. Cool for your bar area and very Mad Men inspired! $25

Love the vivid colors and nature sketch reflected by the Kaiku Serving Tray. $48

From Pottery Barn:

This gold lily pad is a lovely touch for any room. A MoS girl has this lily pad on an end table in her living room. $14 in PB's clearance section. If you told us it cost $250 at Neimans, we'd totally believe it!

From Michael Aram:

Michael Aram's Coral Reef trays are beautiful and hand-crafted. And one MoS girl has seen some Michael Aram at her local Homegoods store... $195

From John Derian, the king of decoupage:

This pretty little decoupage tray is perfect to hold paperclips and post-it notes on your writing desk. If only our desks were as clean as the ones in the picture! $70

We love this giraffe for your coffee table in the den. $106

This Red Seaweed decoupage letter tray is just beautiful! $106

And from Pier 1, the steal of the day:

The $5 bamboo tray from Pier 1 has a classic style at a throw-away price! We love the chevron print woven into the bamboo. Makes the idea of eating in front of the tv even more appetizing!

You've put together a great selection. I think my favorites are the lucite trays, especially the personalized ones. The little letter tray from Jayson Home and Garden is really cute and looks very John Derian, but I think it's actually tiny.

I love the Michael Aram coral tray - I recently gave this as a wedding present!

Love the iomoi trays, but wish they weren't so pricey.
