High Fashion from LL Bean...

Okay, so maybe "high fashion" is a stretch, but it is definitely WAY cuter than the boring anoraks, boxy polos, pleated khaki shorts, and clunky hiking boots my sister and I used to diligently circle in the LL Bean catalog before summer camp each year. Boy did we dress to impress!
Here are some of their new "Contemporary Fit" pieces, self described as "cut a bit closer to the body than the traditional LL Bean offerings." Finally!!!

These outfits are cute!!! And not a pleated pant or comfy clog in sight!
Here is the detail on some of our favorite pieces:
In the swimwear department...

How cute is this green and white Lattice tankini? We think it's much more Cape Cod or Kiawah than Maine. And for all you new mamas out there, the transition to a tankini is much more enjoyable with a fun suit like this!

And this adorable coral ruffled bikini? It's downright cute!
Just for fun...

These madras shorts are perfect to throw on over your swimsuit and head to the beach! I still can't get over LL Bean showing a little knee!

We love how they styled this yellow cardigan with skinny white capris and a patent leather bright navy belt.

We'd finish off the look with these adorable navy polky-dotted flats and this nautical stripe bag!
For those rainy spring days, how cute is this green raincoat and matching boots? Too matchy? Maybe, but it is sure to brighten up a rainy day!

These yellow flats are sure to add a little bounce to your step! They also come in green, and we think the flexible rubber sole makes them perfect for any big city girls who walk alot. And add these adorable silver starfish clips to the toe! (they have sand dollars too!)

These pink and green bow flats are our favorites! So cute with white jeans, a green tank, a big cuff bracelet, and your favorite aviators! And we love this navy pouch to toss in your beach bag or even for packing cosmetics or jewelry.

While you're at it, grab a couple of these adorable beach towels! I bought some last year, and they are everything I look for in a beach towel- cute, big, absorbent, and affordable!

Finally, if you're going to go all-out at LL Bean, we love these retro Moonbeam alarm clocks. They come in lots of colors, and you awaken to the clock's softly glowing light.
Right now, if you spend $50 at LL Bean, you will get a $10 gift card. Also, enter code "3003260" for free shipping!
What do you think? Should JCrew feel a little bit threatened?!

Who knew? LL Bean has stepped it up. I was a little surprised at this post at first - but it was pretty entertaining.

Wow. Very impressed with the Bean. The idea of the starfish clips is awesome.

lol at "showing a little knee"

So does this mean I should get rid of the hiking boots? what will I wear to church instead?

I'm super inspired by the racehorse Zenyatta's pink and green silks, so I'm loving LL Bean's stuff right now. Check out my blog too:
